Dr. Jim Gardner, Ph.D. has been coming to Uvalde several times per month since June 9, 2022, to teach Uvaldeans how to overcome feelings of grief, anger, shame, and fear resulting from the traumatic shooting at Robb Elementary School on May 24, 2022. He believes that God wants to do something special in Uvalde, and He wants to show the entire country how God is able to heal us emotionally, in a way that no secular sources can.  He wants to unite with churches, pastors, and fellow-believers in Uvalde to teach them how to help Uvalde residents find genuine healing for their emotions. Dr. Gardner does not charge for his counseling sessions or for the literature he provides but he is depending entirely upon the Lord to provide funds for the ministry to support his expenses in Uvalde. These expenses include gas for his 10-hour trips, food, hotel expenses, entertainment expenses for meetings with pastors and local leaders, and for the books, literature, and training videos that he donates to Uvalde residents to help them learn how to be set free.
